Many parishioners have suffered harmful effects from their experience of the "Indian Residential School" programme in Canada. Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish wants to provide you with an opportunity to share your story, hear the stories of other survivors, and to find healing in your life, in a safe environment.

Join us as we Anticipate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas, on the Feast Day of St. Juan Diego. Our Celebration begins with Mass at 1pm, Bishop Mark Hagemoen will preside and preach. Immediately Following the Mass Megan McKenna will give a short talk on the meaning of Guadalupe and what it calls each of us to become. The Celebration will end with a Traditional Feast in the Upper Hall

Megan McKenna has worked extensively with indigenous groups in the United States and Canada. She is an internationally known author, theologian, storyteller and lecturer, with graduate degrees in Scripture, adult education and literacy from the Graduate Theological Union and the University of California, Berkeley, and a master‘s degree in systematic theology from Catholic University, Washington, D.C. She is the author of over 50 books.
